Demolition of Wando River bridge, Charleston SC.


SC41Wando Bridge Demolition: The project intent is to demolish and remove the existing SC41 Wando Bridge in Charleston, SC, within the Wando River waterway. The scope includes demolition of approximately 1,700 LF of existing bridge deck, barrier wall, steel girders, intermediate bent caps, precast piles, timber piles, steel trusses, fender system, end bents and approach slabs. The project also requires the demolition of the existing pivot pier by the use of explosives and removal by marine and heavy equipment.
